She killed herself,I would not like to be on a plane with someone like her. The family is much better off without the drunk, she chose to drink over her family.

That the family KNEW she had a drinking problem and a mental problem, and did NOT accompany her on the flight, is mind-boggling.

Just another rich powerful Jewish family thinking they will get richer by stealing public money.

If the husband was so concerned about her welfare, why didn't he accompany her OR have some else accompany her to the treatment facility??? Now he wants money for her death...WRONG...her children should sue HIM for the wrongful death of their mother. It was his responsibility to get her the help she so needed. Any way to make a quick buck and sue in today's society...SHAMEFUL!

As a resident of Phoenix, I so hope the city does not pay them one cent. How dare they think we all should pay her children and husband. They didn't seem to know what they should have done for her - accompany her- and yet the police should have known to do everything the way the family thought? Shame on the family. From day one you knew they were going to sue.

The city of Phoenix is the one who should have filed suit. It was the responsibility of the family, and particularly the husband, to insure her safety and privacy. Will money mae him feel less responsible, apparently!!!! What a horrible way to teach your children responsibility for their actions. I guess money is what they were always after!!!!

Having worked in public mental health for many years this family's reaction doesn't surprise me. Rich or poor, families regularly abandon their mentally ill/substance abusers to the system; refuse to cooperate with treatment personnel and programs and then sue when the client kills or is killed. In my experience, the greater the family has removed itself from the situation, the quicker and more expensive the lawsuit. I sincerely hope the city doesn't settle and that a jury or jury has the good sense to deny the claims of this pathetic excuse for a family.

this family makes me sick - if they were so concerned about her how could they let her travel alone? They are the only ones at fault! Let's start taking responsiblity for our actions instead of blaming everyone else.

I agree with all of the above, if her husband did care about her he would have been with her during this flight, screw him and his law suit
